The Department of Biomolecular Chemistry is proud to announce that Yadwinder Kaur has been selected as the 2026-2027 Dahlberg-Klessig Fellow. Yadwinder is a Genetics PhD student in Dr. Melissa Harrison’s lab. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UMass Amherst, where she became intrigued by the interplay between the environment and epigenetics. This curiosity led her to pursue graduate research focused on how epigenetic mechanisms shape development and contribute to diseases such as pediatric brain cancer. She is honored to be a recipient of the Dahlberg-Klessig Distinguished Fellowship, which will support her in continuing this exciting research, while providing opportunities for her to grow as a scientist.
